lots of examples of "HC" rears on TTORA..really aren't worth in on 1st gen truck at all. Bobing the bed is..but you don't really gain anything with HC rear on ours. Just exposes the frame and shackles more..about it. Our asses don't hang as low as the 2nd gens fat butts

Yeah I just love the look of them (and the homemade factor). Eventually I wanna do the high clearance and bob the bed so I'll have the best of both worlds

I know it's redundant but IMO they look really good together. Plan on bobbing 12" or so and maybe a small dovetail. Waiting till I get my own place so I can have a damn garage

Ida had to put it back on anyway, I didn't even get the top plate off my old stuff, my buddy was MIA, no phone service and my truck on jacks so I didn't get much accomplished in the positive category. I did have a set of coil clamps but after fooling with em for little while, I decided those things are sketchy as hell and wasn't gonna work. Try again this weekend but I'll have another vehicle in case no ones around.

Haha yeah coil spring compressors are super sketchy. I put an impact gun on mine and wrapped the whole assembly in a big blanket so if they popped off or broke they wouldn't go flying. Just a friendly tip

Mine's a 2000. Superbrightleds has my truck using an 1156 bulb but there's a bunch of different types of that bulb. Somewhere there was a thread on this, I just can't find it

Much brighter than stock, and allows me to be able to see much better. But if you want something really bright then you might as well invest in some auxiliary reverse lights.

Does the lower draw from the LEDs mess with any other electrical compenents?

I remember reading about people who swapped out their brake lights for LEDs and something in the same circuit got all screwy because of the lower draw.
