Rear leaf and steering column chatter tsb blower mtr replaced(waste of time) 2nd blw. mtr.; new headlights from DRL melt issue new water pump9 leaking0around block) pwr steering rack leaks, right frt. wheel bearing bad.
Took it to the dealer for the 10th (TENTH) time for POS parts replacement. The POS is now 5 yrs. old and 68k mi. (mostly hwy.) The list is now:: Radio bad 2x, blower mtr noise replaced 2x, large water pump leak..replaced, steering column rattle.. tsb replaced, pwr steering rack leaking..replaced, DRL too hot, melting plastic... replaced both headlight assy's,bad left front wheel bearing...replaced hub and bearing. I guess if I take it back where it was made I could sell it for alot of peso's POS truck all the way NEVER WILL I GET TAKEN BY Tacoma's Worst vehicle ever owned. I had an '84 Dodge wagon K-car that had less issue's. That's the truth.

Riding on 3 new U-joints. Stealer said two were shot and one was close. Turned out only one was shot and one getting close. Changed all three myself since the Toyota wanted $400 to do it. Now I can grease them and keep them in good shape.

^^^How to turn on interior light with door closed. Twice when I was in a hurry I looked for the switch on the dash, but couldn't figure it out so I just opened the door. Then one day I thought, I gotta figure out where the light switch is. Then I had a duh moment. Same day discovered the little miniature glove box to the left of the steering wheel.

I had the other one. My 09 had that same list, minus the DRL issue, but added in the clutch TSB (with new clutch) and a third radio. Front left wheel bearing was 18k; blower fan, clutch, and water pump at 23k; radios at 12k, 23k, and 35k; oh and AC compressor and an LED tail replacement at 28k

I just put the truck's front end on some ramps to give me more space to get everything and I used about 3 aerosol cans of the stuff. It was my first time doing it and I hope I got all the critical components protected.

I got some on some rubber pieces, I hope they will be ok and after I turned on the truck some of the overspray that I got on the exhaust just burned right off after a few minutes.
