That's crazy maybe my story rang a mental bell, must've been a good 80's hamster name. lol yeah you could hear his little fat ass crawling all around in there too.
I loved that show, closest thing to Alf I could get was a walmart hamster lol.

    They should bring Alf back.

    Alf eats cats...interesting paradox

Oh, and don't lock a cat in your truck. Think the piss smell is bad now? Ever smelled cat piss? Especially when they spray...that's nasty stuff that NEVER GOES AWAY...

That's right Alf does eat pussy... cats. lol. He'd probably eat rats too.

Also couldn't help but notice you made a rhyme "Especially when they spray.. that's nasty stuff NEVER GOES AWAY". Ever thought about starting a rap career, could probably get a record deal and make millions. lol

Yep... happened to me too. I pulled my cabin air filter and found several congealing mouse carcasses. It was pretty gross.

I installed a metal screen over the intake, similar to the pics above. New air filter and then sprayed some sort of odor neutralizer into the intake.

Hopefully the screen will thwart to little buggers this winter.

They got to mine once after owning it only 4 months or so. Chewed up the ABS sensor wiring and some of the felt-like damping material on the firewall.

I had some capsaicin cream and finger wiped some on to different areas. Worked fine so far. I did purchase some newfangled mouse traps that worked well enough that I caught 2 with peanut butter, but the traps would not stay in the sprung (open) position so I tossed them.

Yes but they're free... cut them out of furnace filters i bought years ago that i no longer need. So far though i've never changed it... just removed the cabin air filter a couple times and washed with soap and water.

Little trick that might help the OP... commonly done with people that store snowmobiles over the summer... dryer sheets. We stick dryer sheets in the air box of our sleds for storage and the little rodents hate that stuff. Must be like kryptonite to them. Since using dryer sheets I've never had a nest in my airbox come December.

One time I was loading up my rig to return home from a trip in the Tetons and left the doors open too long I guess. Half way home, on a twisty mountain road, a fricking marmot appeared down in the floor boards near my feet! Scared me and him. Tried to coax him out but couldn't.

I got home several hours later and left the doors open while I unpacked. Also said some unkind words to him! The next day at work I jumped in my rig to go to lunch and noticed the half-eaten pack of cheese nips on the floor. This went on for days. He even ate a tube of Carmex.

A marmot is about the size of a possum. So a mouse trap wasn't going to cut it. I got a box trap by Havahart. I loaded the trip pan up with peanut butter and set it in the back. Only took one night and I caught that sucka! Moral of the story - peanut butter works!

 How the fuck did something the size of a possum hide out in your truck?

 That's funny, especially when it appeared in the floor board and eating cheese nips and carmex (must've had chapped lips). What if it would've strolled out like nothing was wrong and you were totally fine with it, ,could've had a truckn buddy that lived in your truck, and would only get out to pump n dump.
