I got it now. You are gonna place it against the bottom and weld the edges. I was thinking a short piece to butt weld to the bumper. Can do. It won't have a bevel tho since is gonna be a thinner piece of steel instead of 1/2" aluminum.

That's fine, just don't want it protruding below the bumper and don't want it zip-tied as it is now.

    Thanks!

Update, as of 11/8, all the brackets in this batch have been cut to size(original size) and drilled and tapped. The drilling and tapping is the slowest step since I had to hand tap 32 holes (16 brackets total), 1.25" deep for 1/4-20 screws. But I still need to test fit this new size bracket. This new size should allow for a 32" spare tire. Once I get it test fit, I can continue the machining process. Trouble is I no longer have a stock bumper on my truck. That is kinda why I stopped making them in the first place. Even tho they are all within a few thousandths of an inch from each other, I still like to test fit each and every one of them before they go out. Hopefully luka comes over and I can try it on his. If this new dimension works, I will need to knock off another .200" from all of them , and continue to the next step. If all goes well, they all should be ready to ship in a week or two. This may be my last batch until I can get a small machine shop setup in my garage. I also updated the price and dropped it down a little.
Thanks again for all your patience :)

Got a few of them done... Just waiting on hardware. Never gonna order anything from Mcmaster-Carr again! They charged me $22 just for shipping on all the nuts and bolts! And its via UPS ground!!!
Anyway, like I said, I have changed the design a little. The step is now facing up, so the bottom is completely flat. I wasn't able to shorten them much because the triangle shaped gusset on the back of the tow hitch will hit the thin harness plate.

Hopefully I get the hardware soon :(
I will be sending out PMs with paypal info to those on the list soon.
Thanks again everybody for all your patience :)

McMasterCarr is the only place I have been able to find a lot of specialty fasteners, but their shipping policy sucks

    Update:
Got all the hardware in today, so I will be shipping out brackets tomorrow morning to those who have paid.
    Thanks again everybody :)

And once again, if you live in a wet and/or salty area, I would paint the brackets to avoid corrosion since they are raw aluminum. and also apply some molylube or grease to the stainless hardware to avoid galvanic corrosion. The 3/4" flat head socket cap screws will have a light coat of dry moly on them to prevent galling between the S/S nylock nut and bolt.
Please PM me if you have any questions on the installation. The new style of brackets are not installed as pictured on the OP, the step will face up, and the flat side facing down.

Still gotta swap gears for threading tho. But with a lowest speed of 200, I don't think I will be threading much..

    :update:
I added a few people who wanted to be on standby to the list.
I still have 5 brackets left from this batch that were reserved. I will wait until Monday afternoon for a payment or even just a response to the PMs I sent out. If I do not get a reply or payment, then their names will be removed from the list and the brackets will be offered to the next person on standby.
