Hey Red, I don't know why iMessages come through even with the data shut "off" because they use the same data needed for Internet access. Kinda makes you wonder just how much of the "privacy" and customization features you really have control over. Apple man, their marketing is second to none.

red are you sure that when you send imessages that it stays imessage or does it send as imessage but fails and defaults to text without having to ask? maybe your just one of those cool cats with unlimited data

I run out of my data pretty fast, usually within the first 2 weeks of the billing cycle, and when I get the notorious message from AT&T "You've used 90% of your data" I shut the data off.
