No matter how many layers of clothes I put on I am still cold..People always said that to me in Missouri while they were dressed like the freakin Michelin man. The whole time there lips were blue and they were shivering. Here's how I dress for the heat..T-shirt (prefer white, dark colors attract heat), shorts and bare feet with an Ice cold beer...Done I just beat the heat!!

I will admit to never having experienced much below the teens. It might have dropped into single digits once or twice while I was in Atlanta, but never anything below zero. I can imagine how it would suck to have to be out in that sort of bitter cold. Still, I'm happiest when the temps are between 35 and 65 (which I am hoping is the temp range for the meet :D).

I could be naked...standing in a bucket of ice water...in the shade...and i'd still find anything over 85* to be oppressively hot these days. I used to handle it better when I was younger, but it seems like the older I get the less I'm able to deal.

i am hoping for the cold. cant get enough of it. because when its cold
and you have a fire going it is the perfect mix.

do they really allow you to burn christmas trees out there.
if so im up for scaviging for some haha.

when we have bonfires down here well throw a half a tree in
the fire and watch it go up in flames. christmas trees are the
    best for fires.

We put a whole, dry Christmas tree directly in the fire standing up 2 years ago. I was shocked we didn't get thrown out of the camp grounds. There was so much smoke and it was so loud. It was crazy! Doubt we'll be doing that again if we want to keep going back.

That brings up an interesting point of interest...

Do we have to bring/gather our own firewood or is it supplied?

I would imagine by January, pickin's is mighty slim for foraging. 3 months of hunters having been collecting it.

Crap, and I just threw out a crap load of citrus wood that was rotting on my backyard. It would have been perfect. Already seasoned and everything. Was going to use it to cook with in my grill but it was too ashy.

As long as it's not Aeroshell 33. That crap stinks like hell and it takes forever to get rid of the stench if you get it on you.

Edit: I hate the smell of gear lube too.

Seems no matter what time of year there is always plenty of firewood to be found in the forest. It never takes long to walk a bit into the woods and come back with a hand full of firewood. This time I might bring a cart or something to make it easier to haul more.

Some things I'd add to your list:
Lantern(s) (Gas for outside/Electric for inside camp)
    Camp Axe
Lighter (have to light the fires somehow, or get a Sweedish firesteel and cotton balls coated in petroleum jelly to impress the kids with your bakwoods savvy :D )
Flashlight or Headlamps (handy at night)
    Ponchos (in case of rain)
    Fold-up Chairs

Guess I need to start a list myself. Here I was just planning on showing up with me, my Taco (with tools, recovery gear, and spare parts), a comforter and pillow, a cooler full of soda and sammiches, and a spare set of dry socks...oh and a roll of TP. :D

Now it looks like I need to add beer, firearms, axes, knives... ahem...

    Lights, tarps, rope, firewood...

LOL bring whatever you feel you'll be comfortable with ;)

I know for TAC1 this is his family's first camping trip, making them enjoy it by providing a few extras for comfort will help for the next time he tries to convince them to go camping. When I solo camp everything I need fits in a single pack but when it's the whole family the kitchen sink almost makes the list.
