I've got an '09 Access Cab (wishing now I had the crew cab) and need to remove the headrests. I thought they would just pop out like adjustable headrests on posts in other vehicles (of course that's what the salesman said) but apparently they're not removable. Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks in advance.

i just did this a few months ago. you have to pry (carefully) the back plastic wall off. i didnt have to take it completely off, just enough to be able to get your hands/tools back there and the headrests are held on by 4 bolts each. if you have that stupid looking sub mounted on the wall like i did then you have to pry the cover off of that thing and remove the 4 or so bolts holding that on before the wall can come off. this link should help with getting the sub off, i cant find the other one about the headrests though.

I have an 07 Access cab....
All you need to do is press the button at the base of the headrest where it inserts into the seat. Pull upward. THat's it.

Or are the TRD Sport seats that much different than anyone else's?

its not a sport/off road thing, the 09s have different back seats. the 09s are bolted in for some reason.

He has an Access cab....so I assumed he was referring to the front seats - since - there aren't any seats in the back.

What do you mean by bolted in on the 09s?

    My headrests come off, easily.

Never mind.... should have read that better! My bad.

o, well the 09 access cabs have headrests in the back "seats" that are bolted in behind the plastic bulkhead. from what i hear its a new safety requirement.
