    was stationed @ Belle Chasse while on active duty. still there as a reversist. there are a couple of places to go riding around the area. check off of woodland rd between belle chasse hwy and English Turn. when ur driving on base, look for a guy @ the USMC hanger with a white lifted f'n 250 w/ smoke stacks coming out of his bed. he knows a couple of good places to ride.

    never heard anything bad about the Ray Brandt franchise. i've been window shopping between there, Lakeside and Slidell. how was ur experience? were u able to negotiate well?

    And by incoming- I mean- I'm incoming to the area. The movers come to pick all my shit up tmrw and hopefully drop it off on Monday. It's my wife's PCS...not mine. But she's going to take all our stuff cause I anticipate getting PCS'd over there in about 6 months.

    I got what I thought was a great deal. The truck I bought was in Baton Rouge, in the middle of negotiating they told me it wasn't available. Then I discovered it on Brandt's lot. It was dealer traded. I happen to have been in New Orleans for the weekend and did all the negotiating by email thru out the weekend. Very easy. Anyway MSRP was $27167 with all the BS add ons. Truck was first quoted at $23999. I first got it down to $23095 and then to $22595 with little effort! So I settled at that amount. Lowest I got it in Baton Rouge was $23495 and the sales manager wouldn't be able to "feed his kids at that price"!

    Toyota must be kicking in something as of now. You just have to find the dealers willing to share it!
