Fabtech, ProComp 6" lift or more. Pictures

hmm... yea decision decision. The problem is i have put some much into this truck. Front/rear locker and gears was not cheap, bumpers , stupid mods and lift.

 

Exactly the reason to just leave it alone except for maintaining and build a low budget crawler. Just the $ in axles for a sas could build a very capable crawler and you won't cry when you roll it.

 

Thats madness. i get 19 and im on 32's... >_> with no armor, lift or anything..

 

Yea awsumdc said it would be about 10k to make the truck even reliable

I bought a 09 tacoma with a procomp 6" lift. Now how can tell what stage is it? Also If I wanted skid plates? is that possible? Is there someone that makes them for the front? Should I keep that lift or what do you guys recommend on changing?

 

Stage 1....large black, cylinder shaped spacer(about 4" long) above the coil spring

Stage 2....just 1 long coil spring


Not sure on the skid plates.....seen a few on here with home fabbed stuff.

I more confused about tires than ever, after reading threads for a couple days. I'm staying with 37/12.5 for sure, the gearing and mpg would suck if I down sized now. Toyos are out, they don't make a 12.5 and I don't want the added width of a 13.5. I'm still unsure of going MT or AT too. There seems to be little ground in opinions for tires, some love them, others hate them (brands). I'm leaning KM2's, even though they are expensive they seems to be a good balance between and AT/MT tire and they are light weight. It is a 75% highway DD though, the terra grapplers look cool, but consumer reporters hate them? Even thought the General Grabbers are heavy as hell, I'd buy the red labels because they look badass, sadly they are not DOT approved in 37's.

What do most of you guys find road worthy but capable for light/moderate off roading?

 

I don't know, I have not owned them long enough to have taken them in. Most shops around here won't mount or dismount tires with any beadlock wheel, d.o.t. legal or not. I had a set of beadlock KMC's that I could mount my own tires and have them balanced locally, but that's all they would do.

Looks good man. Those 33s look huge on your truck. Most 33s look too small on our trucks but yours look awesome

 

I can't comment on any of the others you listed. All I have ever run is Super Swampers and BFG KM2's. I went KM's this time because I've read that they last longer than most others. Which appears to be true so far. I have 20K+ miles & the tire wear is over 1/2 way.

 

I was thinking the same thing! Maybe it's the size of the rim?
