    True North Entertainment own both the Jets and the building they play in. It is generally understood that this was a requirement that needed to be in order for the NHL's return. With the building sold out for the next 5 years, it is also my understanding that, while the team is operating at a profit, they have neither paid into nor taken out of revenue sharing.

    It's been awhile since I've been excited about Avs hockey again. Just because it took me a while to discover this thread doesn't mean I'm some bandwagoner fan like you're insinuating. Always been a hockey fan before the Avs when we had the Denver Grizzlies of the IHL. I was never good on ice but I played a lot of inline hockey.
