    And yeah, I came from a Chevy Colorado with DRL and automatic lights. Kind of a shock with my Tacoma with none of that, plus having to manually hit the dash lights.

    Pretty much. IMO, if he has a beef it's with the law itself not the police for enforcing the law. In a perfect world we wouldn't need laws but this ain't it.

    I think its somewhat ridiculous that the Tacoma still doesn't have automatic headlights. My 99 corolla had automatic headlights. This is simply just toyota being cheap.
