I'm going to go with whatever I can find in my price range with the most tread left.

And that's the plan. Just some cheap black steelies. Wider and less offset. Seems like moody knows the offset on CL. How the hell do I figure that out

Offset numbers depends on the width of the rim

Back spacing is just back spacing and universal for any rim. For 15s you'd want 3.5-2" BS

Offset would be like -25mm or less on 8" wide rim

16s you could get away with 3.75" BS due to 35s only being 12.2ish.

yea backspacing is the measurement from the mounting surface to the inner lip of the rim so if you just bring a tamp measure ou can meassure the BS yourself. But every rim has different BS. There are common numbers though so you won't find lots of odd ones. but anything from 4.5-3.25'' will be out there or more

 

4.5" is probably the most common on an 8" wheel.

 

nah 4.5'' for a 7''. Id say 4'' is more common on 8'' wheels.

 

I dont know if things vary from 15's to 16's and so on. But like 80% or so of the 16x8's Ive seen on the market are 4.5" BS. These are all wheels that ars currently being made so maybe that is a difference compared to older wheels as well.

 

could be 15/16 thing..most 15s are 4.0..least ones i have looked at. 4 and 3.75

Probably yes. Least for the fronts. Jon ran 1'' ones with his 3.75 BS rims.

just found this today! Freakig oil caked all on the front of the engine!! Fuck! Any ideas?

 

I dont know much about the 4cyl but id say that your valve cover may be weeping. Cold weather will do that. Tighten up dem bolts

 

I see a missing bolt in the upper right hand side of that pic...

A neat trick to finding an oil leak is to take a couple handfuls of foot powder and toss it on the area, then let the motor idle until it warms up. You will see exactly where the leak is...
