After financing two New trucks, a house, and a bike I'm trying to stop all future 'credit' purchases. Met a smart Russian fellow many years ago who only bought what he could literally afford. Delmarva now has his truck. Paid cash for everything. Dude must haved saved tens of thousands of dollars. Seems crazy but I'm tired of credit. Been working all year at paying debt off. By the end of the year I'm hoping to only owe 120k for my house (2/3) of my mortgage.

Then its time to start stockpiling cash. Haven't used a credit card in almost two years.

Trying to avoid you bankers at all costs except to hold me pile of gold lol

Yep, I've learned that one over time (a long time) ... your gut is almost always right ... gets messed up when you filter (rationalize) it through your brain. If you get "that feeling" in your gut ... don't think about it any more. ;)

Been there .... broke contact with my side of the family 15 years ago. Bothers me sometimes, but Kristi, the boys, and I have been better off since.

    How's Colorado?

    It's a Moen... I've only seen the box. I'll take a pic Friday.

    You're not alone. :D

 Oh come on Susan...that was funny.

    Nice!

So I'm riding in downtown WC last night waiting at a light and just as it changes this fat bastard zips by me on a white MTB, I'm thinkin ok, ain't no fat bastard gonna out pace me so I put some pedal down, it's getting dark and I'm not really seeing what he's on. But he's really moving so I throw it into a tuck, eastbound and down and I catch up to him, close enough to draft his fat ass. I look down at my speedo and I'm doing 28, but it still didn't click with me. At the next crossing he has to check up to see if the traffic is gonna stop at the crosswalk, I tap the brakes, drop three down in the rear and time it perfect, just as he had to come to a complete stop I'm going airborne halfway across the road, hang the little dog leg, kick on the flood beam and murder the pedals. Take that you fat fuck, the only folks that can catch me at that point would be ones that weigh 100 pounds less than me on a road bike that weighs around half of what my beast weighs. I go like this for about 400 yards then I have to check up because of other riders and walkers, I look behind me and there he is! Mothereffer! Then he goes by me and I finally get a good look at his bike.....it's a Stromer electric pedal assist bike! Lazy bastard! Get a real bike you turd! This thing will do like 30-35 on flat land, no wonder the guy was hauling ass! How are you supposed to lose weight with that? I didn't hear the bike because I had my music on but I feel pretty good, I was racing an electric bike and holding my own, albeit for short runs but i did it. I am the King of middle-aged fat-bastards on heavy-ass MTBs with rat-trap pedals, not in sprints, not for distance and definitely not for downhill, sure i get smoked by those pansys in spandex on 8K carbon fiber Cannondales but that's not the point, tip the scales at 275 with you and the bike total and race me for 40 miles, oh and without an damn electric motor! Jeesh!

I didn't realize until about halfway through the story that you were on a bike and not in your truck...

Actually I ran into a friend of mine later that night that worked at one of the local bike shops and he knows the guy, it's his GF's cousin, says the guys challenged him to a race too, says the guy is a real jerk and he likes showin people up on that thing. That and when I had to check up for the other riders and walkers, this guy was tryin like hell to pass me, at the point on the paved trail where we were it's dark and curvy and not safe to pass, you need to be safe and not run into anyone. He was gunning it trying to get around me and another bicyclist.

Well then, he sounds like a beaut. He'll most likely crash that thing before long. Hope he doesn't take someone else out with him!

Is it actually legal to use motorized vehicles on the paths? Might be something to check into...if it isn't, turn his punk ass in before he hurts/kills somebody.
