Tire desicion trouble

alright, its that time again, when i am in need of a new set of tires. i want something with an agressive tread that i can run through a snowy vt winter, but also something that has good tread life.

my max i can spend per tire is something like $170

these tire will be mainly for show, thats why i want them agresive, but will also have to be able to handle the occational offroad journey

i like the bfg all terrains, but they are to damn expensive

so i am requesting all you guyes im put--thanks

 

I just got a set of Cooper Discovery ST's today, and they were $130 a tire,spent $524 total with 4 tires and mountaing/balancing. They are badass tires. Plus, they are studdable.

 

have you priced a set of nitto terra grapplers or bridgestone dueler a/t revo's yet?

A/T Dueler Revos are on clearance most places as the new version is coming out soon or is out already.

You can probably score a set for well less than your budget.

 

did you have any problem balancing the tires?

 

im looking for somthin a little more agressive then the duelers of the hankook tires, but i do like the st's. I had a set of the st's come into the shop for a four mount and balance, and we had a real hard time balancing them, idk why--did anyone else who had this tire have a tough time??

Couple different tires below your budget. I really like the looks of the Kumho's but Id call them to make sure they have em in stock. I ordered some from ntwonline a month ago and they never came in stock so I canceled the order.

im thinking, just thinking, only thinking, of going with a set of super swamper interco tires, all 4 would be around $530. And the extra money i have left i would buy 2 cheap studded snow tires for the winter. i like the agressive look of the mud tire, but i know that i won't get to much life out of them, any of you guys know how much??

 

Goodyear Duratrac's. Snow rating with the "snowflake" and can take spikes, if its allowed in your state. Look at Discount Tire Direct for free shipping too.

 

Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo. I hope the new version is half as good as these.
