Yea 4.5s would be fine. I'd get them or you could hurt something. But, don't rush. I'd check first to see if you need em by measuring. But considering they are 16" collapsed I'd guess you'll need em if your gonna be stuffing the wheels a lot. They do come small bumps on the shafts to help protect em so could be fine if you don't flex em out a ton.

Thought about canti for a loooonnnggggg time. But..by mounting the shocks outside the frame with SUA and a tundra axle it won't take up much bed space. Besides..won't matter at that point..second truck will haul all the camp gear anyways..:spy:

FWIW: The way my rear is set up, I could probably fit a 14" short body under the bed, in the stock locations. I'm on a 3" lift spring with a 6" eye to eye shackle. So... maybe 4.5" of lift in the rear?

    possibly :notsure:

yea but you would NEED like 6'' bumps so you would lost about 2'' of up travel..not really worth it. FOr 14s you'd want to relocate to fully use the gains of up travel and down travel.

^Yes it will, if I bottom them out. The thing is that my 9 pack spring setup is pretty burly. I haven't had a situation that has forced my springs into neg arch. So, right now, I have a good inch of wiggle room at full stuff. That being said, I'll build some eventually.

Yeah that's the one I went with. It's a little stiff for fast stuff in stock shock locations... but I bet it would do a good job when you relocate:)

My springs are STIFF! haha. I do get a little neg arch in the front, but the back is totally flat.

Do you get neg arch at full stuff?

ive been wondering what's a good setup in the rear, I plan on getting a CVT Mt Rainier, plus a good amount a gear in the bed. I don't want my truck sagging like crazy

yea i have 2 1st gens, Frankenstein and a bone stock 03 double cab.

My dad has a 08 supercharged beast double cab. Thats the one in my sig.

TSBs i believe are 4 leaf and regulars a 3 leaf..not counting the overload..BUT..you should probably get that confirmed by a 2nd gen guy that really knows..granted one could pop up in here..This is a BS/Tech thread more then anything at the moment..least..for another month or so..:spy:

That is counting the overload leaf. Basically the TSB leaf pack is stiffer so it holds weight better.
