That's a cool looking buck, Was he super old or did he just have bad genetics?

Got the gun in. Ordered my scope Sunday, called them today to see why it hadn't even been processed yet, it was still "pending". I was told it was delivered Tuesday, then I was told it wasn't delivered Tuesday. Then I was told it was declined for security reasons, then told it wasn't declined. Then I decided I was tired of the run around, so I wanted to cancel it na dget it from somewhere else. Couldn't cancel. They finally sent me to someone that sounded like he knew what he was talking about. It was flagged for security reasons and isn't going to ship to me at all. Basically, it WAS declined, but I was told it wasn't, after I was told it was. Moral of this story, never order anything directly from Nikon. Ordered it from Academy and paid $8 to have it here in 2 days so I can use it during my 2 week vacation that starts Saturday.

Bad genetics? I don't see bad genetics in either of those bucks. The blacktail is a hog and the muley was super wide... is there something I'm missing?

Not referring to the blacky that things frickin sweet also

Not putting the buck down at all! He is a toad and id shoot him in most any hunt! But his genetics are poor as far as scoring goes that's what I meant. The crabby forks wont score him well at all. But wide and tall and heavy and he would be in the truck for sure! Just wondering if he was regressing out..

    Agreed
    and
Ahhhh... okay that makes much more sense.

Now I'm curious... how were his teeth-- ground down? Battle scars? Maybe missing an eye?! Haha I kid, but really what shape was he in?

Not sure fellas, I didn't get a look at his teeth. I was on another hunt so I didn't get to see him up close. Knowing where this buck came from I'm guessing he is an older buck that is regressing, but I could be wrong. I do know he was 29" wide.

Terrible quality, but it took 4 of us to slide it up a ramp into the truck. Estimated around 350 pounds

    First bow kill. Last year.

    My trophy wall so far!
