I'm about to install my replacement 3.4L into my 04 project 4x4 taco and i wanted to install a new clutch since it's apart. After reading all the good reviews here on TW i decided to purchase a marlin crawler 1200lb clutch kit and just my luck their website says its out of stock. I plan on using my taco to trailer my atv's up into the Pa. mountains so i think i would benefit with a heavier duty clutch. My question is does any other retailers sell the mc kit? Thanks.

No. the MC kit is custom pieced together for Marlin..been out of stock for a long time...

I was in the same boat. Ended up with the TG heavy duty ceramic clutch. Drives different but i like it. Works good.

Thanks Blackdawg. I found a stock oem Aisin clutch kit from Rockauto for $250, i may just order that. But for $50 more i liked the idea of having a stronger clutch. Thanks again.

I just installed the Marlin 1200lb clutch just 2 months ago. I love it.

You should call Marlin and ask them how much longer, you might get lucky.

Marlin's customer service wasn't the greatest to me either...

I replaced those bushings too, they'll make one hell of a difference.

    The Bed is stock...ish

Marlin Crawler has terrible customer service. I called them when I was looking for a clutch for my v8 swap. I had clutch in mind I wanted to try but didnt want to buy the release bearing, pilot bearing or any of the other stuff as that stuff came with my adapter plate. All I wanted was the pressure plate and clutch disc. They quoted me $20 MORE for just the plate and disc... I asked the salesman why that was and he said "Dont know, just it.." I have bought plenty of parts from them over the years (axle rebuild kits, dual case adapter plate, clutch for my 22re), and EVERY SINGLE TIME I have had issues with missing parts, back ordered parts, and SLOW EXPENSIVE ship times.

I dont understand how a company can stay in business and never have parts in stock and no ETA...
