    I'm looking to take my son beach fishing and camping. While on a boat in Port Mansfield we saw a lot of ppl who drove on the beach and camped. Does anyone know how to get there? I live about an hour from SPI in Mission.

    I should be up and wheeling by January I think. I'm going over there this Saturday for the last day of parts picking. That should leave a couple heavy days of cutting/welding for late November/December.

    One of the guys I work with was up at Bridgeport a couple of weeks ago and said he could not believe how some of the trails have matured with all the rain.

    So I think my front suspension is in need of replacement. Just got new OEM leafs last year with the frame replacement so I don't want to replace them. If you were me, would you replace with new stock coils and 5100's? Or go ahead and lift the whole truck 2 inches? I have a bumper and winch on the front for what it's worth.

    I can't seem to find out how to get a 2 inch lift without spacers though...

    Toyteclifts.com most websites have vehicle specific so you can see what's available for your truck/SUV just call toytec/wheelers/DSM/SDHQ and they'll be more than willing to help. I went through toytec a few times and they were excellent with me

    I've been on the toytec site and I can't find a 2 inch suspension lift. I need new shocks and coils so spacers are not an option. The 5100s will lift 3" when paired with the Eibach coils as I understand it. I do not want it lifted that high. I know I want 5100 for my shock. That's definite, just finding the right coil is killing me

    885 and 5100 will give me 2"? I thought you weren't supposed to mix the two, and that OMEs lifted 3". But I guess I was mistaken?

    You can combine the 2. Several people have. With the added weight in the font the 885 should be about 2 inches if memory serves me correctly.

    Okay thanks so much for answering my question! I've been searching for the answer for a while! Maybe I will try that combo out with a 1.5-2" aal. Would I need a diff drop or extended brake lines for only 2" of lift?

    Your a first gen right? If so you'd be looking at the 882 or 883s I believe.

    And I ran the 885s and 5100s for a while. Positive reviews. I also had the 1/2" spacers on there.

    Yes sir, 1st gen over here. Adam I think I talked to you a while back about lifting my truck and then left that idea, but now that I will be upgrading the front anyway, might as well get a little lift while I'm at it!

    Just went and looked. Since your a first gen I would get the 882s. Those are designed for extra weight on the front.

    885s are for the second gens.

    Brake lines and all that will be fine. Should be alright without a diff drop also as long as your cv angles don't look too bad. My garage and services are still out for rent too :D
