Muzzle loader season opener tomorrow morning in Rhode Island. Gonna get in there early. Weather man says a front coming by early in the day to boot. I'm psyched. Got a sweet private land spot bordering a state land area. Hope the wind is right. :D

Didn't know I was deer hunting until a couple days ago, so now I get to load ammo and fight the crowds this weekend to sight in my 308 before next weekend. Awesome. Looking forward to it though!

damn! TN is divided up into like 3 or 4 units and each unit is a little different. one i hunt in you can get 3 bucks, and I think all of muzzleloader season you can get a doe as well i for get the limit though. also their is WMA’s and refuges that you can draw for quota hunts and most those you can get either sex and some will allow a total of 3 deer that don’t go to the main seasons. so if you get in on some of those are are good you can get probably 5 or 6+ deer a year.

I know some unit’s counties don’t allow you to take does but some do. but you can get 3+ deer a year at least.

(we have a archery season that starts end of september and runs till today, tomorrow muzzleloader opens and is usually open till the weekend before thanksgiving, than the regaler season opens and will go till about the 1st week of next year. the regular season you can use bows, high powered rifles, shot guns with slugs only NO BUCK SHOT, or you can use muzzleloaders)

Too many rules... From August 15th to January 1st, bow, rifle, shotgun with slug or buckshot. Kill as many does and bucks as you want. You can run em with dogs as well. Does you have to buy tags for but there is no limit. And most Saturdays are doe days were you don't have to have a tag

kinda a lot but really not that many. like i said a lot of the limits are done by unit or county. units are defied up in to a croup of counties, are the more deer in an area the more you can take, the areas with less deer around you can tae less. which is really a good thing.

the thing about some WMA’s and refuges is the ones that are a quota are usually small, or the revuges are closed to all hunting except for the quota hunts. one place is oak ridge where there is a lot of high security areas. some of it’s still off limits, and they even check the deer out and check for radiation, and if it has to high of a level you can’t even take it. oak ridge is where one of the atomic bombs was built. they have a pretty small number of people that can hunt there each year, and i have heard they have someone to take you to a spot you can’t just rome around and find a spot.

apparently due to genetic mutations. i guess since i've already had my kids and been snipped, i would have to worry about one growing a 3rd arm from their forehead by hunting there...lol.

As soon as I get out of class, I'm going to crossville to get camp set up for tomorrow morning's hunt. Muzzloader season opens tomorrow, so I'm gonna see if I can put some more meat in the fridge.
