Dude, I fucking hate crossfitters. First, it's a damn cult. How do you know if someone does crossfit? They'll tell you all about it. If you're not crossfitting, you're wasting time. They're worse than personal trainers with their 'my way or the highway' views. Second, their main goal of doing the fucking WOD as fast as possible leads to shitty form. Third, shitty form done excessively fast leads to a one way trip to SNAPPPPPP CITY. Last, their adaptations on workouts are retarded. That's cool that you can do 45 kipping pull-ups, but I wanna see you do 10 regular pull-ups. You can do box jumps for 10 straight minutes? Squat 315. I've been to 3 Crossfit classes and every single time, I've wanted to throat punch a mother fucker. I know they have different goals than us weight lifters, but I'm just not trying to be 120 lbs and ripped as shit. I'd rather look like I can lift a bus than be able to do 50 burpees. Go stick your minimalist footwear up your asses haha. Rant over lol

While i tend to agree, I did 35 clean and jerks with 95 lbs yesterday and my body hurts more than it has since I started heavy lifting, especially my traps, I feel like Brian Orakpo today.

I throw workouts like that in every now and then. It's more the attitudes and douche-baggery of your typical crossfitter that bugs me. I do have cool crossfit friends though.

    Hehe I love Tosh.

"The most important part of any CrossFit workout is posting about it endlessly on social media. How bout you just brag about all the kettlebell burpees you did to all the other wacko’s in your cult"

Not sure if any of you guys ever heard of LEMUR, a lot of guys on another forum I'm on have done it and enjoyed it. I've been on a couple different routines from PHAT, to LEMUR 1.0, to 5x5.

    http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3638431

Worth a read if you have the time. There is also a LEMUR 2.0 too. I think I'm gonna go back on a strength routine myself now that winter is here. I want to bulk but can't since it's always so much more expensive for me and the fiance and I are cutting costs wherever we can to save for the wedding (IE maintenance diet, not bulking)

I love my minimal shoes
    Its 145, not 120 ;)
    And I fucking hate burpees:eek:

I tried crossfit But I didnt like it. I do try and incorporate as many dynamic and compound moves into my workouts as I can. As I said before, I like running and I love obstacle course races so I want to be a good all around athlete. But at this point Im focusing on gaining weight and getting stronger as im tired of being scrawny...lol

    hahaha Tosh FTW

You seem to have not drank the crossfit koolaid haha. You know exactly the type of people I'm talking about! That Football workout looks good, but isn't crossfit football more athlete-oriented than regular crossfit? I'm only speaking from my experience at 3 different crossfit "boxes". All three places had the same cookie-cutter douschebags...as soon as they found out I went to a real gym, they were condescending as fuck and I was half the body fat and twice the size of 90% of them. Now, I know that the gym has the stereotypical meat head douchebags, but Crossfitters are the hipsters of the fitness world

You've got some low ass body fat, man! I agree with incorporating dynamic and compound movements into a workout, but that can easily be done without crossfit. I've always wanted to try an obstacle course race. The Spartan Sprint is coming to Atlanta in March and I think I'm gonna do it.

haha I have nothing against minimalist footwear. I just had to throw a zinger in there

you need some meat on them bones!

I'm just kidding that was just me pre-lifting back in the day. Sadly I can't talk much shit as this was after my most recent cut.

    DA0676B0-0A5F-4333-9DD2-E2B294D16593-498_ca23971bb8bc49ded3318e75da662fe260127728.jpg

I am happiest when my mass/definition is at a solid balance when I'm at 195, feel skinny at 185 (the new pic) and I feel fat when I get to like 210. Sadly though, I always maintain a solid doyouevenliftbro status all the time.

You look 10 times better in that 2nd pic man! I'd rather have a little more meat on my bones, along with a little more fat than just be skin and bones any day

^agreed. I'm at 200 right now but thats because I can't play any sports for a few more months. Damn ACL surgery. All i do is lift and occasionally jog. But i'm liking the extra mass i've added.

Thanks man. As with anyone who lifts, I will probably never be happy with the way I look but it's always something I enjoy and work towards. Stupidity has lead me to herniating my discs twice but it's still something I enjoy a lot. And that selfie video was fucking hilarious.
