Getting a new CKMA-12 ARB compressor for the front locker and on board air. Thinking about getting rid of my CO2 setup.

Keep it. The air compressor doesn't put out enough to be able to reseat a blown bead.
CO2 does. Little bit of water on the wheel (or piss if you're a dumbass and didn't bring any water :anonymous:) and you can reseat a bead easy with CO2

Thanks for chiming in. This is what I need to hear. I'm only into it for less than $150 so that's a plus. I'll keep it.

    Bone stock. For now.
Last night I tried to Plasti Dip my badges (again), and some of them didn't stick (again). So after some (very minimal) thought I decided to de-badge the ones that wouldn't stick. Ended up taking off the SR5 badges on the back doors, and both the Toyota emblem and the Tacoma SR5 V6 emblems off the tailgate. It was incredibly easy: I just heated them up with my girlfriend's hairdryer and pushed under them with my driver's license, then wiped off the excess adhesive with some rubbing alcohol. I also threw my rear mud flaps back on. I love letting people know it's a real 4x4!

That sounds about right. Pretty much shut down the western half of Colorado.
That storm really opened my eyes as to the capabilities of the Toyota pickup, saw more full sizes than I can remember stuck half in/out of their driveways.:D

i already replied to this the first time you posted..but definitely keep it.

use the compressor for lockers if you want(you could use your CO2 though..dry airlines...) and back up. CO2 will still blow the air compressor out of the water for filling tires up.

installed the URD short shifter kit, pretty straight forward, I really like how much it shortens the throw, easily over 50% not sure how Ill like it offroad though...

    Comparison.

    photo1-7_e8b1f3f97e5cb5e32be359d0804f88366305209c.jpg

Now just need to get some tabs welded to my Demello tube bumper to mount up the front of the skid and I'll be good to go!

Nice. What was the damage for all those joints?

IMO, I like the longer shift. Easier to know which gear it's in and less likely to F up and put it in the wrong gear.

Just a tip I told one other customer... If you want to paint it fast and easy get some metal primer and paint in a can and a foam roller and go to town. It's fast and easy to get good coverage. I think less than half a quart was plenty.

The stock taco shifter is like a fucking wagon brake. I hated that thing and misshifted with that more than the URD short shifter.
I like feeling like I'm shifting with an xbox joystick.

I agree I didnt expect it to be so much shorter, on the street its fine but I think ill take it off when i go solid axle and really wheel this thing.

Ballistic had a 25% off sale over halloween and ruffstuff had a 20% off sale as well so I saved some good money on both orders. they were both around $400. i got the full steering kit from ruff stuff.
