Painted wheels black, still completely happy about the ride quality and how good the truck feels.

I just wish I knew WHICH panel, and those bolts actually were in the headunit on the initial pull. Not sure why I couldn't get them back in...

I wish I had the time. I'm a freshmen in college, so I was doing this after class in the parking lot. Had to do it and get it done between class and my class scheduling appointment for next semester. I had to have it apart and back together before it got dark, which didn't happen, so I was out there with a flashlight putting panels back in.

He's talking about the 4 bolts that go in each corner of the head unit cage, you have 2 of them there. The little black screw is probably the one that goes at the bottom of the interior panel around the radio. The screw hole is above the cig lighter and is easy to miss. (hopefully yours goes together the same as mine since we are diff years)

Sweet Scout!!!! Always wanted a super scout II with the Jeep looking front grill and a 4 speed 345.

I threw some "new" shoes on the Purple Taco! Couldn't resist trying some TrXus MT's with 70% tread for $200 for all four.

Yeah, I know the four corners of the cage. The bottom two didn't go back in. I think a spacer or something fell out.

I kept the screws and next time I take everything apart, I'll try to find their homes.

    Bone stock. For now.
If you really want one, he will find it for you. That's his business, that's what he does. If you want to get into contact with him send me a PM and I'll let him know you're coming.

I would love to, but funds need to be channeled elsewhere.

I have a feeling the next vehicle I buy will be a semi-shitbox that gets 30+ mpg

Yeah I've read the clear coat they used was terrible and comes off easy especially in winterish areas... my center caps are push in I'm pretty sure.

I ran the Trxus Mt's on my Tacoma a few years back, awesome snow/off road tire and not too bad on the highway.

Yea thats what I got them for… snow. I want to see what i get myself into this winter. How low psi have you run them? Looks like they have great sidewalls that can handle pretty low psi.

I took them down to 12 psi no problem, could easily go lower. I've run several different styles of Swampers over the years, they love to be aired down.

True story, had a major blizzard several years ago, shut the town down. I'm a member of a 4x4 club that gets called into action when there is a disaster that requires 4x4 assistance, mostly hauling doctors and nurses back and forth from the hospitals.
My scout had a busted front ring and pinion, wasn't going anywhere.

Taco had darn near new Trxus on it. In almost 3' of snow, I slowly started to pull out of the driveway, into the deep in the street and sank to the bottom right away.

Got out, cursed, started shoveling to clear a path, decided to drop the pressure down to around 15-18 psi. Started out again and managed to get on top of the stuff, never had a problem the rest of the day. Great tires.

    2006?

My daughter was born in the middle of that blizzard.

Ol' Red was a champ getting us to the hospital. Unbelievable storm/drive. There was a woman who slid off the highway in my town and gave birth in her car, by herself... wasn't found until the next day.

Getting a new CKMA-12 ARB compressor for the front locker and on board air. Thinking about getting rid of my CO2 setup.

    ...too much shit to list.
Keep it. The air compressor doesn't put out enough to be able to reseat a blown bead.
CO2 does. Little bit of water on the wheel (or piss if you're a dumbass and didn't bring any water :anonymous:) and you can reseat a bead easy with CO2

Thanks for chiming in. This is what I need to hear. I'm only into it for less than $150 so that's a plus. I'll keep it.

Last night I tried to Plasti Dip my badges (again), and some of them didn't stick (again). So after some (very minimal) thought I decided to de-badge the ones that wouldn't stick. Ended up taking off the SR5 badges on the back doors, and both the Toyota emblem and the Tacoma SR5 V6 emblems off the tailgate. It was incredibly easy: I just heated them up with my girlfriend's hairdryer and pushed under them with my driver's license, then wiped off the excess adhesive with some rubbing alcohol. I also threw my rear mud flaps back on. I love letting people know it's a real 4x4!

That sounds about right. Pretty much shut down the western half of Colorado.
That storm really opened my eyes as to the capabilities of the Toyota pickup, saw more full sizes than I can remember stuck half in/out of their driveways.:D

Fixed passenger chair (tightened and oiled it) and fixed annoying lock rattle. Broke ebrake cable.

i already replied to this the first time you posted..but definitely keep it.

use the compressor for lockers if you want(you could use your CO2 though..dry airlines...) and back up. CO2 will still blow the air compressor out of the water for filling tires up.
