Take a look at the waffle weave microfiber drying towel. I tried one not to long ago and have not used my water blade since. They suck up so much water it is ridiculous. Leaves no streaks and can dry the whole truck no problem. Adam's polish and Chemical Guys have some nice ones. Also, check out the glass waffle weave as well. Best towel for glass hands down.

It's beautiful out today, so I figured I'd wash my parents cars and my truck. I picked up an absorber due to all the good feedback on here.

Both my parents cars are light in color so I couldnt tell how much water it left behind. My truck is gonna get washed real soon, so I'll see then.

So far though, it is so much better than the microfiber towels i've used in the past. Might be the best $10 i've ever spent even.

I didn't like the absorber. My gut tells me that since it is not very plush, any tiny spec of dirt between it and your paint will end up giving you scratches (they are probably only noticeable on dark paint, like mine).

No data...but I am super-careful when I wash my truck and I started getting scratches (holograms) not long after I started using the absorber.

Good to hear your system us working good for ya. Just a few things I would like to add.

When you do the last rinse, try taking off the nozzle and letting the water just run on the truck. These will reduce the amount of water on the truck. Also, one should take care on removing the standing water on the flat surfaces first This is very important when working in the sun and in places that have hard water. Minimize water spots.

I like to mist the truck in detail spray b4 drying. This helps out alot. I use a waffle weave mf towel. I could not belive how much water this thing sucks up. I could do 2 trucks on one towel probally.

I also have mf towels just for the rims. They are the cheapo AutoZone ones. I have some real plush ones I use on the paint.

I tried the Micro-Fiber towels but wasn't to impressed with the leftover lint all over my truck so I took all the recommendations on the absorber and ended up loving the thing.

Start off with the California Dry Blade and then the absorber, works wonders!

Has anybody tried a jet turbine? I would imagine it wouldn't take too long.

I do. I use a stihl br 420 magnum. It's a backpack blower. but I would think a jet would do better cuz it would also dry it up if it doesn't melt the paint.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
California Blade for most of the water and then The Absorber to get the rest.

Chamois then touchup with a microfiber rag. I have an absorber, the Turtle Wax one I think, and I've been less than impressed with it. Does a really shitty job, IMO.

I use the absorber. I had it for years now and it still works great. Make sure to always moisten it first before use or it will destroy your nice clean car.
