I've been using imageshack.us but i'll probably switch to flikr soon.

This 70-200 L lens definitely does not suck. Coolest part is how little editing it needs when I pull them through.

So I feel like a freaking idiot when it comes to camera's. Does the lens create better photos over the body? I would love to have higher detailed photos like that!

most people's logic is spend more money on lenses than your body to an extent. The lens I took those shots with is about 1300 brand new, much more than my whole camera and kit lens was together...

This is what those are shot with. I rented it for a week from Rentglass.com
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/457678-USA/Canon_1258B002AA_EF_70_200mm_f_4L_IS.html

Oh and also, dont kid yourself Brent. The shots you posted a few pages back of that truck and berries were fantastic and very sharp!

yea better glass is always better. makes the biggest difference in your photos anyways usually....i mean..you can't really compare a FF camera body to a cropped and all..but i mean like some pros use the 7D but just have a 2000 dollar lens and they are pros and make a living at it..

yea to add to that most wildlife photographers use the cropped sensor bodies because of the extra crop factor they get canon 1.6 and nikon 1.3?

Get the best you can by all means, but don't go crazy outside of your means. I guarantee you there are pro out there who use "worse" gear than I do and their photos are phenomenal and far better than mine. Some pros (read very few) are even starting to switch to mirrorless APS-C (crop sensor) cameras that are FAR "worse" quality than say a D800 and Pro 2.8 glass but they use what they have and take some of the most stunning images I've ever seen. Just keep taking photos, more and more and more. Keep growing and getting better, and if you can afford some new glass or something, get it.

yea if you can learn to make amazing stuff with your current gear..your almost better off. knowing what you have and how to use it is key.

Glass is the biggest contributor to sharper images, but you can get sharp images out of most lenses. It just requires to you to stop the lens down
    x2 agreed
    I started out shooting with a Nikon D3100 and a borrowed 70-200 2.8.

My D5100 with the 18-55mm lens amazes me sometimes and disappoints me other times. I've definitely realized it's much better at pictures that are focused on a singular object or macro shots. I need something that does better with large landscapes.

Read, read, READ before you buy! I've had my Canon Rebel XS(lowest model entry DSLR for Canon I believe) for 3 years now so play with yours and learn as much as you can until you really need to upgrade. I've been wanting to upgrade but I don't need to if that makes sense.

When I go out to do landscapes or architecture the Nikon 10-24 pretty much never leaves the camera. Spendy but if you want to go wide it sure does it well.

That for wides, a prime like the 35mm 1.8, and a tele-zoom and you'd have all bases covered. I have the 70-300. I want faster glass pretty bad but don't want to give up 150mm. You gotta prioritize.
