I give you crap, but honestly after seeing what a 2wd sequoia with no locker went through, I definitely believe that a 2wd can be a capable rig off road. Not saying it's close to what a 4wd can do, but all it takes is some good skill and many things can be done in 2wd.

 

I jumped a curb at target in 2wd.

 

I will agree that it may not be able to get to as many places like that. But out in New Mexico there were many places where you don't have to go through all of the obstacles to get to easier ones. I've been in tight trails myself where I was in 2wd and not locked that I used my sliders as guides to keep me away from rocks.

 

There's trails in Iowa that can be ran in 2wd. We don't have severe elevation changes. Sliders would be nice for the trees on the tight trails. A 2wd would potentially slide on slanted ground more than 4wd, and trees are resilient.

 

There are 2 good things to do to a prerunner, long travel or a solid axle and transfer case.

Again, I agree that there are more useful things for a 2wd. But regardless, sliders can be useful on a 2wd.

This started from somebody suggesting sliders to a prerunner for their next mod on the "What have you done today" thread

Ben speaks the truth! 4lo is just as important as having the actual 4wd.

See I do t think it's fair to judge a vehicles capability just because you don't have that type of terrain where you live. You can't really say or 2wds do alright at (technical) off roading just because it can tackle the trails in your area only, if the trails aren't that hard
