Hey folks. I've already made a couple posts here and there but haven't introduced myself or my new truck yet. I just picked up a 2007 Tacoma Prerunner SR5 Double Cab about 10 days ago.

My goal was to make it a full two years with no payments on my previous vehicle which had me slated for a new truck this Fall, but I knew exactly what I wanted and I made the mistake of looking for my Taco a few months too early. I found a smokin deal on this girl and couldn't pass it up. It was the color I wanted (black), a double cab, and it had leather interior which I was really wanting. I hadn't seen another with these features with similar miles for under $24k. I landed mine for considerably less plus my trade and it only had 13,000 miles. I was really happy with the deal.

As with all my toys I' got a quick start with a few mods. It had plain steel wheels so I picked up some alloy rims off ebay. Put those on this weekend and threw on some 265/75/16's. Other goodies include a bed extender and a USA-spec iPod adapter. Next mod will be a set of tubular steps. Previous owner already put a Flowmaster muffler on so it sounds nice.

I already checked out the leaf springs and have gotten the ball rolling on the TSB work with a local dealer. I'm also experiencing the whistling windshield at highway speeds on a windy day. Hoping to get that taken care of as well. Still in love with her anyway. Here's a few pics.

Sawdust - I saw you posted that Toyota of Plano handled your leaf spring TSB work. Although they're not close to me I've been trying to coordinate with them to take a look at mine.

I hope it goes well. They told me they'd never heard of it when I brought it up, and told me they were the highest volume Toyota service dept in Texas. I had to call the 800 number to make it happen. I hope it goes easier for you since I blazed the trail.
