Hey Craig! Hope all is well. I have been really busy rebuilding a house I bought a year ago. Complete gut and rebuild. Bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, everything really. Staying away from that new nj thread. Shitshow every time I look over there. hahaha

 

I figured you were still involved with all that home-improvement.

I'm still rocking the front lift we installed but I've changed the rear quite a bit since then...

You've got to hit Shamokin with us!

We had a group on 11/3 get together and hit some trails out there.
There are a few cool challenging spots in that area that deserve additional attention. Not to mention the fact that the place is HUGE and there is so much of it we did not cover.
I plan on organizing a trip sometime jan-Feb... I'll keep you posted.

Realized today the shifter setup was altered quite a bit to fit an 08 T4R.
Gotta reach out to Wyatt & get a different one to fit the taco. This ones been welded up pretty good & I'd rather just buy a new one.

 

Even buying a new one you'll have to modify/dogleg the twin sticks if the tower is good and shifts well I would just re-work that one and get Marlin knobs for it. You'll end up doing it again when you add the crawler as well.

 

Time will tell JW... I've got a bunch more stuff to collect for this project.
I've got to dig into the setup a bit more before I decide - I know they won't work the way they are now.

 

I think I cut and welded my shifters up at least 3 or 4 times since the first install. The last 2 times I just hacked them at the tower and went from scratch with some round stock. Although that set up looks really funky to begin with so I could see wanting to start with a new set. Hopefully all your parts come together quickly.

 

Just did some digging around RST... Still not sure on the sticks. Since I can't weld I'll need to enlist someone's help to alter them.
Got plenty of time to decide though.

 

Looking at the shifters they actually look to be fairly well thought out looks like they were built for an auto. It might be as simple as a cut and turn to bring them up through the cup holders and have some boots made (I still need to finish that part on mine). Do you have any pictures of the rig they came out of? Or if you can put the case on a bench install the shifters and post a pic I think I could give you an idea of what needs to be done I have pics of mine in every stage. If you need transfer case parts let me know I have a complete one you can have...or have parts from like the actuator that is dummied up with spacers so you don't have to do the wiring right away. Hopefully you're not waiting to get everything and doing it all at once, you can run the FJ case solo and add the crawl box later. I'm just thinking about all things that made me procrastinate and ask Wyatt lots of questions instead of just installing it. The other thing I discovered was installing the FJ case first was it made installing the crawl box easier as the shifter hole that I cut for the transfer is now the hole for the crawler plus it was cool to learn how each piece worked and what it did before installing the next piece.
