    side note - didnt realize either a. how much height difference can be affected by tread and b. how much taller i sat with the tall skinnies until i pulled up next to a leveled(maybe lifted) tundra. its...fun lol

    I was thouroughly impressed with my Beefed sliders. My front cross member, not so much. :)

    Skids need to happen! I'm not sure they would have saved the cross member getting whacked, but they might have spread the load a bit. There's a nice ding there now. Oops.

    So while surfing the web last night I found a 4x4 1st Gen with V6 for sale. It's already lifted and has many of the trail mods already. Seller said he found water in the oil and that's why he's selling. Anyone here ever replaced a head gasket before and is it a giant PITA? And if so, what else should I watch out for when/if I look at this thing. The price is low enough, and mucho trail work is already done, so I would be comfortable putting up to 2k into the engine if necessary. Thoughts?

    So if the heads are wrapped what does it usually cost to have them milled into specs? Like I said, for the price I'm not afraid to put money into the engine, I just don't want to replace the engine.
