Went up to the MX park on Sunday. ALL MUD! The Duratracs are way better in mud than sand. After went driving to find some rain, tried the whole windward side. Nothing. Wrong timing , missed it all. :(

I was playing in the mud at Kaena Pt. Saturday evening in the rain and again yesterday afternoon. It was much muddier on Saturday and had dried out pretty well by yesterday afternoon even though there were occasional showers. There were still a few large mudholes but I wasn't slipping and sliding all over the place yesterday.

There was some good entertainment yesterday though. A stock xTerra (with stock tires) was trying to make it through one of the muddy ravines over and over. His buddy was in a stock 2wd Frontier and kept pulling him out from above. The Frontier wasn't even dirty and was clearly only there to pull out the xTerra. I could only watch twice before I had to move on...smh!

I'd say it'll be just about right by next weekend if there are only occasional showers. I prefer a little mud over tons of dust anytime.

What have you done to your truck lately
Just finished installing my 5160 shocks and found more mud underneath the truck and found a minor scrape on the inner side of the rim. One day will get balanced again. lol

Stick a hose in your forward cab mount. Mine was crazy full of sand and mud. Just found more dirt on my spare tire too.

It's shocking how much crap gets stuck in there and along the frame. Somebody want to fab something up to block that hole ? That way when we go off roading it'll stay empty.

    Luka? :D
I was gonna try the el cheapo route again and use duct tape. It only has to stay on for a couple of hours anyway. I was also thinking of a rubber plug of some sort, like a big plug . Can't think of an application that would have that.

A chunk of mud fell of my truck the other day, I think it was inside the rear bumper. Either way it was a surprise when I found it in the garage :D

How big of a hole? Round or square?

I usually fish through there blind. 3" maybe, but shallow because of the nut that secures the cab to the frame. Round hole. I can show you on Sunday.
