Interesting. With regard to beam blades since I live in snow country, the Anco blades I had were the best I've ever used. No streaking and lasted a year. I tried the Bosch blades and they were the worst I've ever had. Streaked big time out of the box. I exchanged the driver's side twice and the passenger side once before just living with the streaking (all out of the box). Our O'Reilly's guys said they had more returns of Bosch blades than any other brand. I believe him based on my experience of the 5 blades that sucked.

I've also tried Napa's blades (not bad, not great) and am now trying the Goodyear from Costco (since they're about 1/3 the cost of all other beam blades). I figure if they last 4 months then I won't have lost any money.

I still have my stock ones on since I bought the truck in 2009. Summer/winter here in Winnipeg is a pretty good test for them. Extreme cold to extreme heat.

I wanted to be more specific... It was the Anco Contours that I thought sucked. I doubt they were a premium blade.

When it come to wiper blades, I go back and forth [ sorry couldn't resist ]

Seriously, I've used expensive ones and liked them and I've used cheap ones and could buy 2 or 3 sets for the same cost. They're expendable items in my opinion, destined to fail and be replaced. I don't buy into the premise that the $20 blade squeegees water off the glass better than the $8 blade. When they're new, they all work about the same. Some are better in ice conditions and some last longer than others. The question is how often do you want to replace them and where will you be when you need to replace them?

Its my opinion that if you use rainex or rainex washer fluid any wiper blade you use will work better no matter the price.

Id vote, but nothing really last long in Vegas. By the time I need to use them again I need to buy new ones. I tried the Rain X blades with the water repellent, They lasted a decent while but for the money I spent on it they not worth to replace every time. I just buy the cheapest possible from autozone, thats still almost 100$ across 3 trucks for the once in while it rains here...

My piaa supersilicon's lasted about 4 years on my 89. Every 3 months i would clean them with windex and a paper towel until dirt stopped coming off. I do that with all blades now and they last much longer. The piaa's on my gf's civic lasted 2 years.

I used these for years, thought they were the best, but I kept having to replace them once a year. Not sure if its the constant back and forth to the mountains what with snow, sand, salt and ice or what.

Just went to Napa, yesterday and they didnt have the rain-x, the guy said the Tri-force were the way to go. Put them on and they seem pretty good so far. Guess I will know for sure in a year.

I replace wiper blades on all my vehicles annually. Unless you live in a very mild climate, they just don't hold up much more than a year. And if you have ice on your windshield and turn them on, the blades are toast.

I use stock blades, change at about the 8 month mark invisible glass.
When I am up north the remote start takes care of the defrosting task and the cool down in summer here.

PIAA super silicone's Hands down. Either the sporza or the Si-tech's Will last at least 5 years. I have the Super Sporza's on my honda for 7 years, still no streaking and leaves a nice silicone coat on every wipe. Don't even have to use wipers on the freeway, water just rolls off in beads.

Just put on the Si-Tech single piece blades on the new taco. Love them so far.

I'm not picky. I use the cheap Anco summers all year long, I just "thwack" them before I get into the truck if it's snowing. If they start to streak I'll rub the blade down with an alcohol wipe to get all the crud off and renew the edge.
I also apply Rain-X religiously to all the windows, so the wipers are kind of secondary. Unless it's really raining hard, or it's snowing hard and I'm downtown I don't use the wipers that often.
Incidentally, Rain-X makes it a hell of a lot easier to scrape ice off the windshield, too. It just peels right off.
