WOW Roland that's heavy-I bet it's true! My 1st gen's speedo is dead on...this sounds to me like a problem on the newer gen. Look, take into account Roland's post. Every city's police dept takes their units to a local guy who calibrates speedos (usually one who does electrical) they actually will install a compensater to calibrate the speedo. Ask your local cop where they take theirs, or check yellow pgs. under auto-electrical..should cost around 200 bucks.

    You guys are dead on...

05 Taco Db cab v6 4x2 Prerunner only and had 245's speedo was off

now have 265/75/16 and the speedo is dead on from 0-110mph, checked by 3 independant GPS's........

SUCKS because like the other poster mentioned the warranty expires much quicker and gas mileage shows better then your actually getting....

Now I get a shitty 18.9 hwy running solid 65 flat ground @ 50F and I have the CIA full, and Electric fan upgrade. This was running better then your grandmother drives as I was trying to get the best Gas mileage I could get.....This sucksssssssssssssssss

I was actually trying to figure out how to get my speedo calibrated for my 265s. I did a search and found all this great information. Now I understand why over the last two months that I haven't gotten a speeding ticket. Its because I'm actually doing the speed limit lol... I'm going to get my GPS out just to make sure but thanks for the great info guys and thanks for the AWESOME Top Gun trivia..... Thats a little out of control but it was a great movie......
