I agree. However, now that the 1500 comes with a diesel that puts out 400lbs of torque and gets 25mpg i think most buyers will decide to buy the 1500. After a few years and a few "upgrades," i was averaging 10mpg. It costs me 200 bucks just to drive to San Antonio. Thats not round trip sadly.

Knowing what i know now (a whole year later lol) i probably would have said fuck it, purchased 2 prius's, done the 4BT conversion on my old 03 2500, bobbed the rear like i planned to, and have a daily driving 50mpg car for school and my truck for play time.

In 2017 ill know in more detail what the destiny of this current truck is. Thats why im a bit hesitant to do any mods to it, because i have never owned a daily driver for more than 4 years (the 2500 was only my daily driver because my daily driver was totaled in a hit and run).

Thats one reason i joined this forum, so that i could see how capable these trucks are and how other are modding them up. Before this, all i had was limited knowledge based off of vehicles we used in Afghanistan from time to time. Even with that limited knowledge, i knew these little trucks were pretty capable in the right hands.

I hope to learn more as time goes on. Hopefully ill start getting out more so i can see how the truck handles in stock form (except for sliders and a bumper obviously lol).

So far i think im just going to copy Colin lmao. Except i think ill go with 33s until i have money to regear.

Odd choice of name really. The named it the 1794 due to the fact that it was when the original ranch was founded. However, "During the Texas Revolution, Perez remained loyal to the Mexican Government," and continued to pay taxes on the land so that he could come back and claim it later.

Well Texas won and he returned to find that Texas only honored the original 4000 acres his family had and not the 24,000 acres he was paying taxes on (he was technically paying taxes to Mexico anyway).

So i find it funny they call it the 1794 when they should have named it a date that truelly is Texan. Like the day we kicked Mexicos ass would have been more appropriate.

I'll probably be waiting til spring of 2015 to do anything. Can't have a huge truck payment while I'm in school. Was over by the Ford dealership today and went and sat in one. Those things are massive. I'm a big guy and had plenty of room
