Naw...I tired driving like a grandma for a couple of months and the improvement in MPG were not enough to encourage me to continue. That being said I do not drive with my foot to the floor, I believe I am a conservative driver but I have just given into the fact that my truck is below the average fuel economy for the Tacoma for whatever reason. Now I just drive it and put gas in when needed.

Keep it 60 MPH and below and do not do quick starts. Cold air intake or a programmer will not give you anything. I have a standard 4.0 and get over 24MPG.

Heavy tires kill mpg. Too much rotational mass.

This is my MPG. Yes... 24.9MPG Keep your foot off the skinny pedal and loose the lift.

Now... I will give this disclaimer... I very seldom get the truck above 45mph because of where I have to drive but I drive like I have a egg under the gas pedal.

And no... A CAI will not do anything for your mileage. Your truck essentially has a CAI built in if you look at the way it is routed through the fender. You will be wasting your money and never see any return on your investment unless you just want to hear the CAI suck air or put a S/C on it.

I like your rig and you don't even have a Tacoma. You don't see me complaining?

*Edit*I'm gonna put my truck in every thread I reply too just to give you something to complain about.
