1/2 Thule Xsporter 500 Pro - New in box

So I purchased a Thule Xsporter 500 Pro a few weeks ago. I'm only using half of it on my DCSB as I also have racks on the cab roof. I would like to get the other half sold. It is still at the shop where I purchased it, still in original packing material, and still in the original box. The photo shows the half I installed on my truck.

I have the rack system with all necessary hardware. I am not including locks, but you can purchase them directly from a Thule dealer if you wish. I am also including the adapter kit (well, half of it) for the Tacoma. You'll end up with everything you need to do an install just like what is shown in the picture.

I need to get $300 plus shipping (that's less than half of the cost of the complete system). Obviously a local pickup (Chattanooga, TN) would be easier, but I'm willing to ship if you're willing to pay the cost.

Ouch - UPS is saying about $250. We might be able to repackage it (this is in the original box) and / or send it in two boxes, thereby reducing the cost a bit. They're also saying seven shipping days.

Ouch...how is that? orsracksdirect.com quoted me $250 shipping for a full kit...

 

My guess is that the box dimensions (otherwise known as the "dimensional weight") are what is driving the cost up. I know this is often the case as I have shipped many bicycles around the country in the past. We priced it using measurements of the original box.

If you are still interested, I could see if we could repackage it, probably into two smaller boxes, and see if we can get the cost down. I'd be happy to pursue this if you're still serious about the purchase, just let me know.
