The biggest WTF this year is how bad Arkansas is. Never saw that coming.

 

I think most of Arkansas fans did. At least me and my buddies. Most of us predicted an almost winless season. You have to consider that we pretty much had a rebuild, with a new coach from a completely different (style) conference, a quarterback who doesn't particularly fit that style, and a defense that is too small in all the wrong places, especially in the SEC.

 

Yeah ....I don't follow Arkansas one bit so I can't talk shit but they are usually a relevant team.

Rebuilding period is tough (ask Mitch with his Cougs) but then a few years go by and BAMM.......they start tearing shit up.

 

I'd give us about 2-3 years, and we'll be back in the hunt.

 

If by "relevant" you mean "sometimes making noise in the SEC West," then I agree.

They won a national title back in 1964, but haven't done much since. They've won the SEC West outright just twice since joining it in 1992, but they've never won the conference. (They were co-Western Division Champs two other times.)

Petrino had them third in the west for a couple of years. Never got past that, I don't think.

 

With LSU and now A&M in the SEC it's going to be really hard for Arkansas to get the talent it needs to rebuild IMO.

 

Not to mention that ass-clown of a head coach over there.
