Yes. I like my truck. Less strain on everything drivetrain related and airing down is the key to not shaking the shit out of everything in the truck. Also harder to get a flat.

Smooth ride is also why I got 16" wheels for my Mt's and keep my at's on 17". More sidewall to flex = better ride and more traction.

Running around the woods aired up is just silly and begging for a flat. Airing down is by far the cheapest and easiest way to gain offroad ability imo.

That was my nice way of saying you're wrong and full of poop so do some research

If I hadn't just come back from a very relaxing 4 days of outdoor vacation it would of been different I suspect :D

    Also air down in snow.

Ive climbed hills in the snow on my OE tires at 20psi with a LSD rear and open front that a locked truck could not get up and he had MT's on. The difference was I was aired down.

I'm a huge proponent of airing down.

I ran rausch with stock tires, didn't air down, got a flat. Probably wouldn't of happened if I'd aired down a little.

I sliced a sidewall at beech creek on a shitty little root. Probably wouldn't of happened if I'd aired down a little.

I have 255/85s on 16 inch wheels so I have a larger sidewall and can air down with less chance of pinching the tire between a rock and the wheel. But even on stock tires or on my 265s I still air down on pretty much anything offroad.

Even just dirt fire roads or sand.. Makes the truck ride a lot smoother and less strain on the drive train.

Even if you have to drive a few hours on pavement to get home before airing up, doesn't matter. You aren't going to kill your tires by driving on pavement at 20 psi. Airing down doesn't have to be far below normal pressure.. Even just a little bit helps.

I believe I aired down to 19 last rausch trip also and that was with stock tire size. Is 17 too low for 33s?

What PSI you air down to depends on way to many factors to simply state 33" tires should be this or that.

Some idiots try and put a tire meant for a 9" wheel and it should be on a 7" wheel.

You guys should all do some reading on it before attempting it. http://www.4x4tirereview.com/airdown.html

    How was that spot?

Let me guess, you slept past noon and everyone got tired of waiting around for you to wake up.

New spot was taken by some douchebags so we had to find a new new spot. This one is even better IMO. Enough room for (40) tents. Ill tell you more about it later because this one is staying a secret, but we had one neighbor the whole trip and they were one the other side of camp so we barely even noticed them.

And no I did not sleep past noon. I woke up early and everyone was gone. Sure glad my truck started - would be nice to have the last guy wake you up. I guess that's what happens when you party like a rockstar and everyone else falls asleep on you. I was up till sunrise and woke up around 10am every day.
