Pretty much. You can pretty much make them any flavor you want like sunflower seeds too. I just like to add some salt to make them salty, but not too salty. I used this recipe and I think it's perfect: http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/toasted_pumpkin_seeds/ Plus you can eat the shell too on pumpkin seeds. One of the most healthy snacks ever.

OK, Got a question. We got a glass top stove and we not supposed to use cast iron fry pans. How do U get away with it ? I'd like 2 but she'd start WWIII. Thanks. Curious George. BTW makes me hungry. :D

No photos but I just got done eating something amazing and had to share. If you like Thai, Indian, etc., this is for you.

I sautéed 2 bell peppers and 1/2 white onion in safflower oil with some crushed garlic for 10 or 15 minutes to get some color on them. Added 1/2 can of pineapple chunks. I had some smoked chicken left over from the weekend, so I took 2 thighs and a leg and chopped up the meat. I stirred in 2 tablespoons of curry paste, 2 kaffir lime leaves, about a cup of coconut milk and 3 tablespoons of sriracha (I like it hot).

Simmer until it's hot and all melded together, serve over rice and sprinkle on salt and fresh ground pepper. Amazing. Simple, sweet/hot, thick and creamy - the best curry dish I've had ever, and I made it. :D Just had to share.

I also had the same question but have been using cast iron pan and other cast iron pots for a while now without issues. Just put them down gently and don't drag them around across the glass - my pans and pots are pretty smooth on the bottom, but just to make sure I don't scratch the glass I leave them alone once I put them down.

They do emphasis a smooth flat bottom - not for her but best for pans on the glass top.

My wife and the kids were out at an event tonight, so I decided since they are having fun, at least I can have some fun too. Best dinner in a long time.(unfortunately just cell phone pics, nothing like Pete's photos )

Had a little help in the kitchen tonight and it turned out epic. My 5.5 year old daughter was the guest chef. We made fried porkchops with roasted potatoes. She was a great help and had fun doing it. I think she is going to take after both of us and be a great cook. She was so interested and wanted to learn about every detail involved in the cooking process. Enough about the rant but it was a great daddy/daughter night!!!! Oh yeah pics to follow...
