yea I told her the ULTIMATE deadline is 6 months..

 

do yourself a favor...right now, sit down and write yourself a list of all the reasons why 6 months is it. then in 5 and a half months, read it to yourself and make sure none of those reasons have changed.

 

I know how hard it is to get back on your feet and save money.. i'm divorced as well as she is... I know its hard and I guess that's why I wanted to lend a hand.. but I didn't realize I was lending such a large amount of hands I guess...

 

or change up the recipe a lil bit with some sugar, spice and everything nice and you get the..... powerpuff girls.

 

I figure if she saved $200 /month just for rent or a house payment she would save $1200 which would get her through two house payments or rent and deposit..

I would leave your computer on and have this thread on the screen when she is over - She will look at it - Read it all the way through. Then she will probably tell you something along the lines of "maybe moving in is not a good idea" and you are in the clear ...

THIS is something I've never understood. Why so many people whine and complain about not having any money and yet they'll have pets. Get rid of your pets! They are a luxury! (not including service animals of course)

A bit confusing to me too why a non-profit would spend such money on a luxury item when they could use it to put a roof over someones head or help them buy their next meal.

 

When does she move in?

The scariest thing for me, and there's a few to choose from, is having someone else's kids live in my house. Don't think I could ever do it.

Not to mention you simply don't have the room for it all.

Giving up on your animals because you've fallen on hard times isn't a great idea either. I say this assuming she had the animals before she divorced.

 

I agree about the room.. her two kids are small enough to share 1 bedroom but I honestly don't know how well its goin to go..and I like her now.. but in 6 months am I gonna like her after her and her kids in my house 24/7

 

How old are the kids?

 

she was married for 9 yrs.. and found out when he was deployed he cheated on her .. so she picked up her life and moved back to her hometown and boom here we are.. but I guess my heart is just bigger than my brain..
