    they are very low.

    only 19ft/lbs i believe.

the gaskets get cooked. Usually something that gets replaced on motors over 150k.

No pics but I'm at 172k and mine have been seeping since about 160k. seems about right. Mine are going to be changed when I get the timing belt done in another 20k or so.

Im at 175,000 and had seapage also. I just gave each one a turn and most were very loose. The seapage stopped almost completely. I did that about 5000 miles ago.

ok thanks guys! I got the day off tomorrow to I'l clean it up, check the bolts, and keep an eye on things.

fwiw I never smell burnt oil and the oil level is always where it needs to be.. Engine has 179k on it so I guess its time to replace the gasket.

I had my timing belt and h2o pump done at 89k, should I really be doing it again now around 180k ??

Well I'm not even at 80k miles and mine are seaping as well. But the truck spent a ton of time in -20 temperatures, so I'm sure those gaskets shrunk/expanded a ton which probably is not a good thing.

Let me know what you figure out when you clean it up/tighten the bolts.

Mine seep as well. Started happening around 164k miles. Gave the bolts a slight tightening and it cleared it up. I should actually change the gasket but the tightening is helping me put that off a little longer.

Took the Taco on a RV/4X4 trip threw Utah. Moab was fun lots of jeeps. Only carnage was Smashing the winch fairlead in a rock. Time for a synthetic winch rope and Aluminum fairlead that doesn't stick out a mile.

Here's my Mental Pic; bought my 01 taco Sat. "Installed" Royal Purple oil (yep, the one with the zinc etc.) and filter today. Hard to believe, but you can feel and hear the difference! When I'm satisfied my 4X4 Taco is in good stock tune, (about 2 months) I'm going to on demand hydrogen (HHO). Yes it works, I used to build my own set-up, and in fact sold a few, but the tech. has made serious advances and most of what I will install will be bought commercially. Naysayers beware. I''ll document and post. About the required pic(s). It's just an old Taco, but I love it, and it understands, but I will do pics.
