The details you need 2 3/8 inch wide springs. Cut to fit. You can do the rest.

Generally 1/2 ton trucks. My springs came out of a 3/4 ton truck.

How far down did you cut from the hanger on your first leaf then second? I did 3.5 on each which is what doug told me to do.

I did the same, measured about 3.75" shorter from the end of the bottom leaf, an did the same for the next leaf to keep it consistent

I prob should have done the same instead of measuring 3.5 from the hanger. It would have given me a softer ride. my ride is pretty stiff without any weight in the bed.

No its all good man, I still got the lift I wanted and a better ride. When I load my bikes and trailer its like a dream carries 500 lbs with ease. I might redo them over the summer but we'll see. I appreciate the knowledge that you gave me and all of us. sorry about your mom

can i use these? there 2 inches wide and they look like they have good arch and about the same thickness. I'm just worried about the safety with them being more narrow than my oem leaves

I wouldn't recommend using them only because they're too narrow, when you bundle & strap them with tension clamps, the narrow leafs won't be clamped laterally (side-to-side) & it could end up breaking (very worst) or be an annoying gimp spring thats slapping around doing its own thing because they aren't in unison with the others...

I got a slight vibration in my floor board and gas peddle when I redid my leafs a month ago, should I install some 3* shims?

I wouldn't go to shims until I've determined the drive angle/vib can't be resolved by dropping the carrier, i know most will go right to shimming the axle, but every vibration issue I've dealt with has been fixed dropping the CB 3/4" , oddly enough though haven't really had any trucks that developed vibes after I worked on them other than my own, but have corrected a few others with other types of lifts
