I say no to yellow. perhaps if you had a black truck. I say go for the bluish tint or HID fogs instead.

yellow increases contrast ... makes a difference in moderate fog and light snow. Heavy snow or fog, a white cane works best :)

I prefer the PIAA ION yellow bulbs. Very nice coloration when lit. Hint of purple when off.

I've got a sliver with the yellow fogs (lenses, not bulbs). I think it looks fine. In fact, I had a guy at work the other day (who also as a Taco) ask me what the deal was on them...as he liked them very much.

Buy H.I.D.'s and get a light smoked film to put over them. Thats what I did and it shows through perfect and matches my black headlights

Kinda a style vs function debate? - lol!

Nothing is going to penetrate fog or snow. All you'll do is increase back scatter. Fogs work best in near field area, and need the lens to be a fog lens to keep the beam low. Yellow aids contrast in rain/fog/snow conditions.

Functional - fog lens, yellow light - whether tinted lens, or say a PIAA yellow ion bulb.

Style - whatever you like, so long as it's not used in fog/snow.

I personally line the look of the PIAA ion bulbs in a clear lens. Vehicle color doesn't matter - it's a classy look. Yellow lenses .. hmmm not a real fan.
I didn't have fogs, so I added Blazertechs. They have a yellow/purple tinted optically clear lens. Looks OK, price was right, and way better than the cheap opaque or even transparent plain yellow lenses.

Here's pics of both clear & yellow......

I like the look of clear but also feel the yellow or at least yellow bulb is more functional for my slightly dysfunctional vision. Fog/snow aren't frequent events for me so went with clear for now but will probably end up going h10 35w 6000k HIDs in the fogs since the lo's are projector already.
