    I'm a Field Engineer for an oil service company called Schlumberger. I'm currently working in North Dakota and fly back and forth from Memphis.

    Most weeks I won't work much over fifty or sixty, but we are running wide open right now.

    Unfortunately I'm not paid hourly. But my salary makes me even with the hourly guys if they average 80 a week. So I think putting in a lot some weeks and less others puts me ahead in the long run. Besides next year when I get to supervisor I make bonuses. Thats when the truck mods really roll in.

    I don't think I could work on salary. I'm so used to 40 hrs regular, anything over is time and a half, and Sundays double time. I would lose all motivation to work OT without OT pay. Unless I got a very substantial pay raise that put me well over what I would make working my ass off and having no life. Oh and when you decide to start modding, I got this brand new bumper and a nice set of sliders sitting in my garage that I might let you get from me .....

    The salary compensates for working overtime I guess you could say. Yeah if I ever get to leave this accursed hell hole to come get them.

    So I had my remote start installed today. I like it but think the installers may have not put in some things they were supposed to. They put the warning labels on thats fine. But no program/valet switch, and no hood kill switch. Aren't they supposed to install those for safety.
