Haha the one time I was feeling useful in this thread. I was just looking at rcfreaks build earlier today and I was all "ooh ooh! I know this one!"

But then, scroll up and… shot down

MGM DCLB I believe. Looked like LT, made a left on Hacienda and Halliburton. I was in the MGM going to make a left onto Halliburton. I flashed my lights.

Saw this truck by my house earlier today. Central Ave/9th. It's a house/shop. I wonder if the guy that lives there has a website. He always has off-road trucks there.

Yup. That's the same time I saw that truck. Have you seen that house? Usually 2 silverados out front. I've seen a few pre-runner tacomas there.

Probably been down 9th a few times over the last 20 years ;)
Not sure which house you're showing though... half of the houses along 9th look like they're in various states between contractor and crack-house.

Those are really deep lots that were the product of crazy subdivision laws....
Minimum lot size to build a home was "x" acres, but property could be subdivided by 50%, so two owners would place their homes at opposite ends of their lots. They would then subdivide both plots, and sell to a common buyer, who then had a lot large enough to put a home right in the middle.

Later code allowed homes to be built on smaller lots, so the parcels between the houses subdivided out.... you end up with property that's 50ft wide and 200ft+ deep.

It's the same down in the parts of Chino between Francis and Phillips, and a few parcels left on Walnut.
For the most part, developers made offers to the owners in the 80s and 90s and a lot took them up on it... they'd "buy" 2 or 3 houses, replace it with a 12-house tract, and compensation to the original owner was two of the new houses.
