If she is living with her grandparents at the moment, how will she save "more money" by moving in with you??

Another thing I see... Don't you think it's ballsey of her to look into putting a fence in your yard for the kids and animals??? It sounds like a permanent move on her part for the long term.

Face it, you fucked up by puking out "come live here for a while".... now you'll have to un-fuck yourself before the shit gets real deep and involved.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
OP, it could be the best thing that ever happened to you, or the worst. I'm thinking somewhere in between. It's probably not the most ideal situation for her either, so talking honestly about expectations, and just be totally honest about what your thinking and feeling, positive and negative. You've both lived in marriages that were less than ideal, so you both have to have some reservations, plus you're basically going to be the father figure to her kids, so things are more complicated. I'm sure she's feeling reservations also, but you offered, so she might be doing it so she doesn't upset you?
Just always be honest with her, and if it works out great, if not, you tried to help her out.
It sounds like she's getting her stuff together, working full time, not looking for state or federal assistance, plus she's getting support from her ex, the military makes sure of that. What I'm saying is she's going to be fine with or without you, but she will always be appreciative of you trying to make her life easier.
I moved my girlfriend and her son in 20 years ago, it wasn't easy, but we're a very strong family now, married for 18 years and two more kids.
The only thing I worry about is you guys aren't active enough in the bedroom, sex is a huge part of compatibility, and you haven't explored that enough to know if that's going to be a plus or a negative in your living together.
Just like some have said before , everyone has an opinion, and this is just mine.
Good luck, I hope it all works out for you both!

    gnite you two

BTW OP, does not sound like a very good idea, you do not sound emotionally ready to be living with anyone right now, she might not be ready either, very good chance both of you could really fuck this up if you do this. There's no harm is telling the truth and saying you've had second thoughts, if she is really mature about it and you are really being honest about what you say, and i mean REALLY HONEST, then your conscience is clear.
See, in this world, there are things we want, really want, things we want to have happen, so much so that we would lose sought of common sense and reality in order to attain those things. But even though we may want them, doesn't mean those things are the best things for us. By the very fact that you posed this dilemma here tells us that even more than your words have that you really, really are not liking this idea. I think if you think about it, you have already answered the question and just wanted some opinions about it.
IMO I think you should sit her down ASAP and tell her in person (not text or phone, be a man about it), look her square in the eyes and tell her you fucked up. That in soul-searching you have come to realize that you are just not ready to live with anyone right now. Don't make any excuses, trust me, it will sound fucking lame if you do, like I said, be a man about it. Just say look, I'm sorry, I really like you, I want to help you, but my head is just not in a spot to where I can do this, not right now, maybe down the line, but not right now. If you have been friends for as long as you say you have hopefully she'll see that you are playing it straight down the line and respect you for that if nothing else, if not, then it just wasn't meant to be my friend.
Good luck and let us know what happens ok?

    OP,

You mentioned being a firefighter. Running into a fire, helping severely injured folks has to be more trying that this issue with little miss "let me move in and I will control your life."

As someone said in an earlier post, grow some beazalls and tell her to slow down, or get ready to sign the title of the house to her and the kids.

You are headed for trouble by being used and abused, but if it happens make it of your own choosing, not that of those here on TW offering loads of advice.

    Good luck in your decision.

    Keep us posted.

The more i read this the more I think YOU need her more than she needs you. It seems like maybe YOU dont want to be alone. You NEED to have someone in your life i guess. Best of luck whatever you decide, we cant keep telling you the same thing over and over.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
This thought has come across my mind, for every person who is compelled to be in control, there is someone compelled to be controlled. Some people need to be told what to do or are lost if they don't have someone guiding their way. It is true that opposites attract, whatever those opposites are.
