Ya, roof rack I'm sure doesn't help but the wind deflector makes up some. It's just a heavy turd I guess.

Ya, that was on the odo which is not totally correct, it's prob reading a bit high actually because with the tire and gear combo I'm a bit lower geared than stock

Gearing doesnt effect the odometer because the speed and mileage are read off wheel speed sensors at the wheels not the transmission. Tire size will effect it though. Calculating tire size you are actually traveling 7.4% farther than what your odometer shows. So lets say your odometer says 220. Multiply that by 1.074 and that gives 236.28 which is closer to the mileage you actually traveled.
If you were to calculate mileage off of 220 with 17 gal of gas used you would get 12.8 mpg. If you do the math with the calculated mileage and 17 gal you get 13.9. I just found you 1 mpg. I bet if you took off the rack you would gain at least 2 mpgs. It is amazing how bad they hurt mpgs.

Edit: Would have continued this last night but my laptop died.

If you had a manual trans I believe it would as I am pretty sure it picks up off the out put shaft of the trans. I think your downfall is the weight and rack.

I have to redo my retro as well. The driver side almost has no output. I looked at it and all the inside chrome has pretty much fell off.. So going to re-do the entire thing again as soon as Tiff gets a job.
