How do you break a bottle on the beach? If you drop the bottle it lands on sand. I've dropped a bottle on concrete and it hasn't broken. If you're not a douche and throwing them in your fire or on rocks or just throwing them around then I don't see an issue with it. IMO, and I am pretty picky about littering.

Before I put my foot in my mouth I wanted to double check with what I said, I was thinking of another project on a beach where the plankton glowed in the dark. But after looking up this beach, it wasn't over 5 years but I still understand the point being made.

I understand its necessary as a general rule for the standard asshat out there, dont get me wrong. As a whole, the general public are litterbugs, slobs and could really give a shit about the environment. I could also quote articles and post pics of the enormous trash island floating around the Pacific and it does piss me off to no end, to the point that I call people out on it in public.
But, since I consider myself outside the norm on littering, to the point I am a natzi about it on my construction sites where I will fine my subs for being trashy, and I dont get so wasted at the beach that I cant pick my own shit up, I drink beer out of what ever container that particular beer comes in.
