Happy Veterans Day, folks!! My day started at 4Am - had to be at work before 5 for a series of live broadcasts related to Veterans Day and the Military Heroes of Northeast PA calendar project - all of the proceeds are going to a transitional housing center for homeless vets. As "Mr. April" :D, the young lady who put the project together asked me to be there...and to host the broadcast from the college. We were closed for the day - so much for sleeping in.

After that, I stayed at work until noon when I was the guest speaker at a veterans luncheon at another university in town.

Then it was home, put on my tuxedo, wait for Lynn to come home and change and then head back to the college where our local Chamber of Commerce was holding its annual awards gala. Got home at 9:30 last night. Long day.

Woke up to about an inch of snow this morning and ice on the roads. Got held up in an accident on I81 on the way into work that had all 4 lanes blocked for awhile. Winter is here.

I saw this thread and I thought I should introduce myself. I certainly qualify for the 60+ group. I just purchased my first Tacoma and am really loving it. I don't do climbing on rocks, or jumps, I don't raise my truck, or have special shocks. Just a stock Double Cab short bed 4x4 Sr5 truck . I'm in hopes of this being the last vehicle I have to buy. About the toughest thing this truck has to do is go fishing and drive around in an occasional snow storm. Oh yea i do buy some lumber and odds and ends for home repair. Thanks very much looking forward to meeting everyone.

    Respectfully,
    Jim

Halloo to all you all having fun in the snow. Winter's here too, my truck got washed in a rainstorm this weekend. Same rainstorm that stopped our golf round. Cold too, with lows of 66-70.:)

I like this thread. Yesterday had some young guy in a Tacoma drive by me laughing and pointing at my truck saying why don't you raise that thing! If I raise it I can't get in it!!! He looked like he was about 25. Maybe he'll understand when he is 65. I just smiled and waved like I was wandering around town and couldn't find my way home.

    No comment!

Just saw another good bumper sticker at the convenience store.
    It's message:
At one time we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.
Now we have Barack Obama, no cash, and no hope!

I don't think I could come up with something like that if my life depended on it!
