I'm ready to smash this thing . It won't work .
    iPad . :D

I broke one of those . Town fair said they couldn't get it off . I asked if I could go in the back and take a look. They were using a ratchet/socket . I said F that hit it with the impact gun . Came right off . Picked up some normal lug nuts . Those key ones are junk .

Bad ground somewhere? I'm guessing the display must be grounded separately from the rest of the radio. Did any of your control lights work or the HVAC lights?

I'm the same way, I still have a dumb flip phone and get teased daily about it at work.

Erik, google 'lug nut extractor' or try Billy's method but do it with a sacrificial socket (I wouldn't use a Mac or Snap on socket because you might not be able to get the nut back out afterwards)

You can use a good socket cause it can be knocked out thru the 1/2 drive hole ( if it is hollow)

Oh, wasn't sure if he would be able to since the head of the nut is basically gone now (nothing to hammer against through the 1/2" hole).

Ha! Ha! Yea you'd think right? I was very conservative with my information sharing but was extremely clear that there was PLENTY of anti-sieze on the stud and they needn't worry about the remnants being frozen on. Chambers in Auburn is actually very attentive and satisfaction oriented, so I have notheing to complain about so far....

Did you replace them with something better you could reccomend? I am considering going with the Gorilla lug nuts but if there's something with a proven track record for performance AND security, I'm all ears

Based on this latest experience, I'm prone to agree :D

OK just to update everyone--the dealer got the shrapnel out and have a new set of keyed nuts coming, gratis (I will take them anyway and maybe use them, maybe not). I do want to use secure lug nuts since I have the TRD fakelocks which I'd like to keep on the truck :D. I do need to take off the wheel and confirm the stud threads are undamaged...may have to break out a die and clean some threads

    HA!
My old phone stopped working when they switched to digital phones a few years back. So I "upgraded" to a new phone for a penny. No camera, no flipping or sliding, and no interwebs. I don't even have a text plan. The thing might as well come with a cord and plug into a wall, haha!

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Speaking of phones fuck verizon and fuck phone insurance. Useless. For the amount i have paid into insurance monthly plus the deductible i could just buy a brand new 5s. 3 months till i have an upgrade, hopefully i can talk my way into a early upgrade.

The best buy protection plan is awesome. No questions asked, totally worth it.
