yea i know who he is on here, but don't know him personally...would be awkward to meet the guy and ask him to stay at his place haha

figure i'll find some area tucked up to the hills with a view to throw open the RTT and call home for the night

Could always go camp up by jw, that's in the same general area as craters if i remember. However it's getting cold. And the craters of the moon area is a desolate windy wasteland. Not sure if I would camo there lol.

Also I didn't realize the x guys even came to idaho for that one, now u can't find the episode with it. It's just not up

Ben might be right tho. The Idaho Montana border on the way to Yellowstone that I took for the wyo is pretty beautiful. Some some cool small towns

So what's your plan? Show up late friday hang around saturday?

I have a thanksgiving dinner of sorts at 6pm in Jerome so I have to be back to Pocatello at a reasonable enough time to drive 2 hours to Jerome but Shelley is about halfway between Poky and IF and is a fun trail. It's a crawling trail not really a scenic trail. I think it is the most recent pics in my build thread from when I went out with Cameron (shutterbug). We would have to get a fairly eay start saturday to knock it out though. Probably like 8 am...

Are you coming up through Jackson or taking I-15?

if you take trail creak up to the back side then its a nice view of American falls and what not there are a few placed blocked from the wind but it's not much wheeling.. not sure when they will shut it down but the top of china peak is a good view and some decent wheeling but a really short trail. there is also moonlight

Craters is a cool place. Popular for people to hit that area when going into our out of Wy from the west side.

So basically through Jackson. I guess you actually don't go in to Jackson.

I could maybe hang out friday but it gets dark so early that wheeling would be out... Well, I don't know where to wheel in IF and I wouldn't do Shelley in the dark.

Konsta listed off those spots in/around Pocatello and that could save you some time back home as well as let you take a different route home too.

It's cool but it is almost 2 hours in the wrong direction for him. Just depends on what all he wants to do. It is mostly hiking that I know of there also.

Sand dunes? If it isn't snowed on, take him to st Anthony, or AF. That would be fun.
