My motivation to do good in school was a leather belt..
As it should be in all homes i think, my kids god will i have any will know what respect is.

My girl is in the dental program she spends about 95% of her awake time making sure she will pass the program in the top 90% the rest is for food and sex.. She says it's cuz i deserve the best.. Not sure where she is going with that but the point is i agree let her controll her shit..

My parents cancelled summer vacations if my bro and I did bad in school. It was a big deal because we could fly for free so we would go all over the country every summer.

 

I got paid depending on my grades lol

 

Same here, 5 bucks for an A, 2 for a B, 0 for everything else.

 

I got that before every beating

 

I always felt that way anyway, the money was just an added bonus.

 

Fuck you people and your paid for grades stuff. I got paid when I worked. I worked from the time I was 8

 

Child labor wasn't allowed in Minnesota.

 

Hah the first time I ever got paid for something was working at my school during the Summer working on computers. Didn't get paid in cash though, got paid in computer parts and built my first computer.

My parents never paid me for grades or chores. I was jealous of those that did at the time, but now I agree with the idea of why should you get paid for something you're expected to do?

 

I only got paid in mid school, that ended in high school when I started working.

It wasn't child labor. It was working for my parents' restaurant. Then out on the farm. Then my grandpa's farm. Then when I turned 14, jobs doing multiple things. Plus year round sports.
